Sachin Tendulkar's (45) departure due to exhaustion led to a sensational batting collapse of Mumbai Indians as Chennai Super Kings thrashed them by 24 runs in an Indian Premier League match on Tuesday.
Chasing a modest target of 166, Mumbai were cruising all along before Tendulkar left the field in the ninth over at 62 for one after making a 28-ball 36 which contained six fours.
Shane Watson hit a blazing 36-ball 58 before Shane Warne returned with a four-wicket haul as Rajasthan Royals edged out Deccan Chargers by two runs in a thrilling Indian Premier League match here on Monday.
Watson blasted three fours and as many sixes but Rajasthan Royals suffered a middle-order batting collapse to be dismissed for 159 in 19.5 overs after skipper Shane Warne won the toss and elected to bat.
Paul Collingwood struck a breezy 46-ball 75 before bowlers wrecked havoc as Delhi Daredevils inched closer towards booking a semifinal berth beating Royal Challengers Bangalore by 37 runs in their Indian Premier League match here on Sunday.
Openers Virender Sehwag (35) and David Warner (33) set the tone but it was Collingwood's blitzkrieg, bejewelled with three fours and seven sixes, that catapulted Daredevils to a competitive 184 for five after the home team skipper Gautam Gambhir opted to bat first.
