In a pulsating last-ball finish, league leaders Rajasthan Royals defeated the Mumbai Indians by five wickets in the DLF Indian Premier League tonight, paving the way for the Delhi Daredevils to reach the semi-finals.

The Daredevils, anxious spectators as the thrilling encounter drew to a close in Jaipur, have 15 points from their 14 matches and cannot be overtaken by Mumbai Indians who have 12 points from 13 matches and play bottom-placed Bangalore Royal Challengers on Wednesday.

The other team in the hunt are the Chennai Super Kings who face the Deccan Chargers on Tuesday. A win for Chennai will give them 16 points and will push the Mumbai Indians out of the hunt. But if Chennai lose and the Mumbai Indians win against Bangalore, then the Mumbai outfit have a good chance of reaching the semi-finals due to a better net run rate.
Mumbai Indians 145 for seven in 20 overs (Sanath Jayasuriya 38, Sachin Tendulkat 30, Sohail Tanvir four for 14) lost to Rajatshan Royals 146 for 5 in 20 overs (NK Patel 40 not out, RA Jadeja 23 not out) by five wickets.

Orange Cap Standings:

Delhi Daredevils' Gautam Gambhir is still the leader in the Orange Cap standings with a total score of 523 runs from 13 matches. Shaun Marsh of Rajastahn Royals remained at the second spot with 478 runs to his credit from nine matches. Mumbai Indians' Sanath Jayasuriya moved up to the third spot with a total of 460 runs. Deccan Chargers' skipper Adam Gilchrist is in the fourth spot with a total of 431 runs.

Opener Graeme Smith's 91 on Saturday for Rajasthan Royals against Chennai Super Kings gave him a total of 416 and he is now in the fifth place. Rohit Sharma of Deccan Chargers is in the sixth place with a total of 404 runs, one more than seventh placed Virender Sehwag, the Daredevils captain.
