Barely with four days left for the T20 World Cup to kick off in England, India's Men in Blue a.k.a. the national team for the T20 World Cup are confident of retaining the title they won two years back albeit the fact they look a little jaded.

The Indian team, which landed in England on Friday, is brimming with confidence that they would retain the World Cup trophy in the explosive format of the game this time.

And why not? The Indian team boast of some of the biggest hitters around such as M.S. "Captain Cool" Dhoni, Virender Sehwag, Yuvraj Singh and Gautam Gambhir, which, which is like half the battle won, at least on paper. Indeed, India's batting runs deep with several all-rounders in the 15-member squad and variety in the bowling attack.

Besides, they are also the defending champions, having outplayed the likes of England, South Africa, Pakistan and Australia in the inaugural tournament, easily making them formidable opponent if not dangerous.

So what if the big hitters of Indian cricket appeared out of form in the just concluded IPL 2009? According to India's cricket greats, that's not a problem.

"I've full confidence in the team. It's a solid team with explosive batsmen and wonderful bowlers in their attack, which looks fantastic. It is true that form can sometimes be a worry when you don't play well. But world-class players will always be a threat to the opposition. And I'm glad that we've got lot of world-class players in the team," said Sachin Tendulkar, who is confident that India would be able to defend the title successfully.

"We come as a package...I am certain this package is the best in business at the moment. This package has everything, which is necessary to make us world champions once again. India is the most balanced side in the world and there is no doubt we can defend the title. We have very good cricketers in our side and we have proved that this combination is the deadliest," he said.

"The best part is that our team can take any amount of pressure and still perform. Team India actually thrives on pressure. So I would like to put my money on India," he added.

Agrees bowling great Anil Kumble. "In my opinion India has the best balanced side. If they play to their potential they will lift the Cup again. It's a fantastic side and all the players in the team showed good form in the IPL," Kumble, who led the Royal Challengers Bangalore to IPL final, said.

According to batting legend Sunil Gavaskar, "There is some concern that the IPL would have left Indian players jaded but India has a fairly easy time after the World Cup, so the boys will be keen to give it their best."
